"My chair is not rooted in specific architectural details or materials, but in the building’s changing role throughout history – from one of the three oldest churches of Copenhagen to lighthouse and watchtower, from a renewed attempt at becoming a church to maritime museum and library.

Finally, it became an art centre hosting contemporary art exhibitions, concerts, performances, training courses and dinner events. As the building itself, my chair had to be multifunctional, preserve cultural heritage and point to the future."
