STOL-N

With its simple, robust wooden frame embraced by the seat and back, STOL-N feels instantly familiar—despite being something entirely new.

(in Danish, STOL-N is a wordplay – it sounds like THE CHAIR, while it consists of STOL – a chair and N – a number)

The design of the STOL-N is based on my extensive experimentation with thermoforming nonwoven composites, a technique that offers great freedom in shape creation. This method enables the desired double curvature, enhancing both seating comfort and visual appeal.

With its simple, robust wooden frame embraced by the seat and back, STOL-N feels instantly familiar—despite being something entirely new.

STOL-N consists of only two components: a solid wood frame paired with a seat and back made from either a Flax/PP composite or PET felt from recycled fibers. Its construction allows for easy separation and recycling.

Lightweight and stackable without risk of scratching or damage, STOL-N’s simple yet warm aesthetic makes it suitable for a wide range of settings, from public and hospitality spaces to residential interiors.
